In July 2014, Nikki Bella was in the same handicap match with Summer Rae Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae. Ariana only showed up to take on Nikki Bella. She then got to play Naomi at the Battleground occasion prior to the main event. Ariana won the match. Their rivalry developed as a result.
